Hello! My name is Marina, I was born, raised and live in Rome. I'm a licensed tourist guide since 1995. I got a degree in Art History and Archaeology of the Mediterranean Area. I studied at the Third University of Rome, the Art Faculty is located in the ancient roman Diocletian Baths, from the window I could focus on the ancient ruins… I like Roman and Greek art and also Baroque art. I took some examinations about the Modern art and mostly about 17th century so I deeply studied Bernini, Borromini and my favorite Caravaggio. During my course I fell in love with Archeology and I took part in excavations in Italy, in etruscan necropolis and sanctuaries and in Carnuntum (Austria), where a Roman Legion was in defense of the Danube border. I'm addicted to marble definitely! I got the opportunity to lead a jewish group from the States with a teacher from Tel Aviv and for one week we shared so many infos about the Jewish Community in Rome, it was a great experience for me. Another amazing experience was to tour a man, all alone, completely blind since the birth. We spent 3 full days together visiting all the city or saying better touching marble and hearing the water sound of the fountains and walking over the bumpy roads of cabblestones... it was a wonderful tale! Since 1990 I keep on with my studies on Rome and surroundings working with Cultural Associations of the Eternal City. I visited many underground roman sites. I want to share my knowledge, and very fond of Rome and its beauty because: to know Rome it's not enough a lifetime! I am communicative, passionate (of course I love gesturing, I’m Italian!) About my hobbies: I love Music, I am a Drummer and playing in three bands as a Singer too! I love travelling with my family of musicians, going to rock and metal festivals all over! I love leading families with children, I had three kids. I am ready to share with you my knowledge and passion, making sure you'll have the greatest experiences in my beloved city! Including the discovery of the unique Italian Food! Looking forward to meet you in Rome for a tailored tour! If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone

Rome is not the only treasure of our region—just a short drive away lies the charming town of Tivoli, a hidden gem of beauty and art. Surrounded by nature, Tivoli offers ancient wonders that are sure to leave you in awe. The jewel of architecture rises a few miles from Rome in the ancient volcanic hills that formed Rome’s fertile paleosoil. Tivoli is not only home to a beautiful medieval old town, but also to two spectacular sites: Hadrian's Villa, the former residence of Emperor Hadrian. Today, it is an enchanting archaeological park where Roman ruins blend with nature, earning it UNESCO World Heritage status and offering a glimpse into the life of the famous emperor. Next, we’ll visit Villa d'Este, the Renaissance palace of Cardinal Ippolito d’Este, governor of Tivoli in the 1500s. Recently restored, it dazzles with its exquisite gardens, renowned across Europe for their beauty and design.
