Ciao, I’m Karin, a licensed tour guide and art historian, and Rome is the city I chose to call home. I was born in Eastern Europe, grew up in Israel, and eventually followed my passion for art and history all the way to Italy. I hold both a B.A. and an M.A. in Art History, specializing in the Italian Renaissance, which allows me to share Rome’s artistic heritage with depth, clarity and genuine enthusiasm! For more than half a decade, I’ve been guiding private and small-group tours in English, Russian, Hebrew and Italian. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all itineraries. Instead, I create personalized experiences based on your interests—whether you’re drawn to Renaissance masters, ancient history, contemporary street art or the quieter corners of local Roman life. I often guide visitors through iconic museums such as the Borghese Gallery, I lead immersive journeys through the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and also help guests navigate the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with confidence and providing proper context. As an “elective Roman,” someone who chose Rome rather than being born here, I believe I bring a fresh and curious perspective to its stories, artworks and neighbourhoods. My goal is always the same: to make art and history engaging, accessible, and memorable for every visitor. I look forward to welcoming you to Rome—a presto!
