Hello and thank you for reading about me, Roberta! I was born and raised in Rome, I have dedicated many years of my life to art history and archaeology. I have taken a Degree at the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology. I have worked as a tour leader for leading Italian and American tour operators in Rome. I love my Ancient City and wish to share it with you! My interests in the arts and history fields as a young child led me to start working as a professional tour guide, which I have been doing with great enthusiasm since 2009, when I obtained my licence. I also have a special licence for the Vatican City which allows me to cooperate with many groups and families. I speak fluently in English, French and Spanish, and have graduated in Political Science. I love travelling the world and all animals, in particular dogs and cats. I look forward to meeting you and showing you the BEST time in my Eternal City! Licensed Guide for all of the historical monuments in Italy. Vatican City Licensed Guide for 8 years. I am not permitted to guide in another language - only English

Starting from your hotel in the center of Rome we will journey Eastward bound towards the Apennine Mountains & the region of Abruzzo. We will visit the Estate perched high above the city of Tivoli and a UNESCO World Heritage site called Villa d'Este'. It is a fine example of Renaissance architecture and the Italian Renaissance garden period of the 15th Century. Exploring both the remarkable works of Pirro Ligorio, who was responsible for the iconographic programs worked out in the Villa's frescos and the technical designs for the fountains by a Frenchman, Claude Venard, who was a manufacturer of hydraulic organs that we will hear playing during our visit. After experiencing the Villa and it's beautiful gardens, you will enjoy a true Roman Wine Tasting Lunch before returning to the Center of Rome. Come enjoy the beautiful gardens with me!
