Ciao! My name is Romina, and I am a licensed guide with a degree in Ancient Greek and Roman archaeology and art history. I was born and raised in Le Marche, a region of central Italy. I graduated from the University of Perugia in 2000 and then moved to Rome for the love of my husband. I started working as an expert guide for school groups at the excavations of Ostia Antica, a place I consider my paradise. This experience led me to become an enthusiastic, qualified guide of Rome. I love art and history, but also food and wine. I adore ancient ruins, walls, and bricks—that’s why Rome is my perfect place. I love its monuments, churches with unexpected art treasures, Baroque squares, museums, and archaeological sites, as well as its narrow streets and lesser-known corners, its gardens, and its more modern neighborhoods. I never get tired of the “Eternal City”; I never stop learning—Rome always has something new to reveal. I would like to share my passion with everyone who wants to experience it. My tours are suitable both for tourists visiting Rome for the first time and for those who have already been here. In addition, if you would like to experience the beautiful surroundings of Rome, I offer tours to Tivoli, ancient Ostia, and the Roman Castles. I am used to working with both groups and private individuals. I am very flexible and friendly with adults and children. All the tours I guide are customizable. Get in touch with me, and let’s talk about it! Qualifications and Experience - Degree in Greek and Roman archaeology and art history, University of Perugia - 5 years of experience as a didactic guide in Ostia Antica - 17 years of experience as an officially licensed guide of Rome and its surroundings. If my calendar appears unavailable, please contact me anyway. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port via the driver. I’ll meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Discover Rome through a fascinating journey beneath and above the city streets. Our tour begins at the remarkable Basilica of Saint Clement, a unique three-layered complex where you will descend underground to explore a 12th-century basilica built over a 4th-century church, which in turn rests on 1st-century Roman buildings and a Mithraic temple. Walking through its atmospheric underground levels feels like traveling back in time, uncovering nearly 2,000 years of history in one place. After the visit, we will take a taxi (cost not included) to the iconic Trevi Fountain. From there, we continue with an unforgettable “up and down” experience at the City of Water, an underground archaeological site hidden beneath the district, where ancient structures and water channels still flow below modern Rome. A perfect blend of art, archaeology, and hidden wonders.
Saint Clemente's Basilica with underground Transfer from Saint Clemente's Basilica to Trevi Fountain by taxi (cost is on you) Trevi Fountain and The city of water (closed on Mondays) -If you want to walk from the Basilica of San Clemente to the Trevi Fountain, I can add 1 hour to the tour and we can see the Colosseum and the Forum from the outside. -The itinerary can be customized to your preferences. -The itinerary could be on the reverse according to time slot tickets. -Please bring a copy of your passport (paper copy or photo on your phone), the tickets are nominal and a copy of your documents must be show. -In the museums, in the archaeological sites, and in general in all the Roman churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted.
