The Moses of Michelangelo, the school of the gladiators and an overview of an archaeological dig

I have a vivid memory of my first visit inside the Basilica of Saint Peter's in Chains. While approaching the altar I had the feeling that someone was staring at me, well as I turned my head I noticed that it was not a person but a statue doing that! I can't find better words to express how intense the look of a statue can be. Even Michelangelo was so impressed by his masterpiece that as he finished he started hitting the statue with a hammer shouting at Moses: "why don't you speak?" After this 5 senses experience, we'll have a nice walk in a park to see the ruins of the Domus Aurea, the school of the gladiators and the Arch of Constantine. Last but not least, I'll show you the area where I spent 2 years of my life to get my MD in Classical Archaeology by studying a context belonging to the age of Nero! It won't be a simple description, I'll take my post graduate thesis with me in order to show you how we turn the archaeological evidence into history! Ready to be an archaeologist for one day?
