Ciao everyone! My name is Natalia and I am 100% Roman, born and grew up in this wonderful and vibrant city, in a neighborhood close to the Vatican area where I live with my family. Since I completed the high school I decided to concentrate my studies to the art and archaeology. After my degree in Art History I specialized on Italian Renaissance Art and spent some years of working as museum educator in ancient Roman sites and museums like the Borghese Gallery. In 2008 I began working as tour coordinator for big companies, and in 2010 I passed the examination and got the tourist guide license issued by the Roman Tourism Board/Council. I like arranging and doing personalized tours for groups and schools from Italy and different countries, but mainly for individual clients tailoring every part according to their needs. Often my guests are families or the not-so-youthful travelers, and I really like sharing with them my favorite corners, where to find secret treasures or also family-run restaurants or the best gelato places. I am passionate about so many things... it is impossible to list them all…. food, books, activities with my 7 years old son, travels and art for sure! Have an idea for a customized tour in Rome or in its surroundings? Don't hesitate to get in touch with me and we'll explore the possibilities together. I am looking forward to welcoming you here in Rome and in the Vatican City! Official licensed guide of Rome. In the middle of the public gardens of Villa Borghese is one of the most renowned art museums in the world, the Borghese Gallery. An important part of the collection was begun by the wealthy Cardinal Scipione (nephew of Pope Paul V) at the beginning of XVII century, he was an avid art collector of Caravaggio's works, and Bernini's first sponsor. The Gallery is particularly rich in ancient Roman, Renaissance, and Baroque art and has the greatest collection of works by Bernini, each of one is a masterpiece like Pluto and Proserpina or Apollo and Daphne. The Borghese Gallery is the perfect place for art lovers to admire art in a beautiful space without big crowds in Rome. While the Vatican Museums are filled with treasures and are a must visit site in the Eternal City, it is also one of the largest and most crowded museums on the planet! But luckily Rome is full of art! Let's find out together!
