Ciao! Let me introduce myself: I am Silvia P. a licensed tourist guide of Rome and Vatican City. I am class '74 I am married and I have a 10 years old son. How does it get better than that? Well it does with my job! My husband is french and we lived in London for a while but he once said to me that me without Rome. . . not working. . it is like I need my air!!! Guiding has been my full time job for the past 26 years. . . . and I just love it. I am passionate about what I do and my goal is for my clients to be able to fall in love with Rome the way I do. After all the experience in the field and the knowledge I have cultivated I feel confident to say that I am the most reliable person to help you plan your stay in Rome. I like to call myself a Concierge guide: giving you advices and guidance not only about the tours and the best time to visit the main sites in terms of crowds and weather, but also helping you with tips only a local can give. . . where is the best Gelato? or the best Pizza? Whether you want to dive in history and art or catch the more glamorous side of Rome, if your holiday is about having fun with your kids. . . I am your guide! I can arrange all sorts of tours, if there is something you are curious about, or you have heard of but it is not listed. . . send me an email and I will help you make it happen. All my tours are with skipping the lines tickets and timing can change for the tours depending on the season and the day I will advice you in what is best for you. In high season in order to confirm the tour I need to check tickets availability first. My number one priority is to give you a memorable experience of Rome and help you make the most of your time here. Tourist guide License 2000 Majored in Anthropology in 2004 I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Join me in discovering the Vatican, the smallest country in the World but the richest in terms of works of art. The Vatican Museums hosts one of the most important collections of Greek and Roman art, we will see the Belvedere's Apollo and the Laocoon considered as iconic pieces of ancient art. I will tell you about the meaning and insights of Michelangelo's work on the Sistine Chapel, what there is more famous in art? And then we will shed some light into the relationship in between Michelangelo and Raphael, the two genius of the Renaissance. By skipping the busy entrance lines I will guide you through centuries of art and history sharing with you all of the information that only a local guide with almost 20 years experience can provide you with.

Visiting the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel is on the agenda of every tourist to Rome so it will always be very full and very busy. Our experience with Silvia made it so much easier as she channeled our way through the crowds to the more important pieces where we spent informative time and could appreciate what we were seeing. Once again we learnt so much and were so grateful for our eloquent knowledgeable guide. Thank you Silvia. A very worthwhile tour.
In one word: excellent. Sylvia provides the perfect combination of historical knowledge and comparison to modern culture. Touring the Vatican with Sylvia as a guide brought the experience up two or three notches. We strongly endorse Sylvia without reservation!
The tour was awesome. Silvia is a great guide.
The Vatican is overwhelming visually in terms of the vast amount of artwork, statues, and other artifacts. Silvia is knowledgeable and does a great job in keeping you focused on the highlights. There is no way to tour the Vatican satisfactorily without a guide in my opinion. Take Silvia's advice. Go early! If you can manage to get up early then plan to be there by 7:30 to be admitted with the first groups.
