Hi there! I'm Barbara, born and raised in Rome, just a few feet from the Vatican City, I love to travel the world and explore different cultures! With a degree in Architecture and a master degree in Historical Building Restoration, I have been studying architecture and art history for all my life, working for several years to the restoration of some of the most prestigious palaces in Rome. I decided to become a Tour Guide to share my lifetime experience in Rome with people from all over the world. I'm really proud to unravel the amazing stories hidden behind every alley and square of the Eternal city, bring back to life the outstanding Roman ruins, show the masterpieces made by the most important artists working for the powerful Popes and communicate my passion and true love for my Hometown, like only locals can do! All of my tours are private and can be tailored according to you interests and wishes, so just give me the details and I will create the perfect tour just for you! I hope to welcome you soon to Rome. . . A presto! The best way to see the cradle of Renaissance from Rome with an architect and national licensed guide. . . me! From Termini station in around 1 hour we will be in Florence, ready to reach the Accademia Gallery, home to the amazing David by Michelangelo, surely one of the most famous statues in the world! We will stroll around Florence lively and colorful medieval alleys, visiting all the highlights, what the Florentines call their "outdoor art gallery" Piazza della Signoria, where Palazzo Vecchio stands since the Middle Ages, the political and administrative heart of the city, we head to the Duomo square, the magnificent Santa Maria del Fiore and its impressive Dome, we grab the nose of the Porcellino. . . with some time left for shopping! After a mouthwatering traditional lunch, we cross one of Florence oldest landmarks, the Ponte Vecchio with its fancy jelwery shops, then we reach our last stop, the amazing church of Santa Croce with its immense historical and artistic heritage.
