Ciao! My name is Ennio, a real Roman name! I was born and raised in Rome and I've been working as a tour guide for more than 20 years. I'm a fully licensed local guide for Rome and the Vatican city and graduated in art history at Rome university "La Sapienza". I offer all the tours of Rome from the Ancient Rome tour (colosseum, forums, capitol hill), Vatican tour (sistine chapel, vatican museums, st. peter's basilica), Baroque Rome tour (Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, pantheon, piazza navona) to the unbeaten tracks such as the Trastevere area (the real roman district also famous for restaurants, wine bars, cafes) or the Jewish section (an area with 2 thousand years of history). Or if you really are interested in art history I can customize tours focused on the most important artists that have been working in Rome (Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Bernini and Borromini). Upon your request I can customize tours that provide transportation from the port or the airport with a private car and driver, so feel free to contact me and ask questions, i'll be very happy to be your guide and new friend in Rome! So, ci vediamo a Roma!!! fully licensed local guide for Rome and the Vatican city since 20 years.Graduated in art history I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver upon your request. I can arrange transportation also from the port and back for shore excursions upon your request.

Join me on this fantastic journey to discover how much the history of Rome is related to the history of Christianity. As an art historian, I'll explain all the details of the masterpieces inside our old churches in town. The basilica of St. Paul outside the wall the place where St. Paul is buried since the 1st century A. D. will be our starting point. Using public transportation we'll get to St. John in Lateran, the cathedral of Rome built by the emperor Costantine in the 4th century after Christ. We'll have the chance to see also the Holy stairs- one of the most important relics of Rome. At St. Mary Major, my favourite Basilica in town, and one of the 4 main basilicas of Rome, the first one dedicated to the Virgin Mary and built in the 5th century after Christ, you will be able to appreciate inside some of the oldest mosaics in Rome. I'm looking forward to sharing its history and all of its details and curiosities.
St. John in lateran St. mary major St. Paul outside the wall Due to 2025 special Jubilee year we could have some restrictions in the Basilicas due to Jubilee events. ***extra cost for radios with headphones that are mandatory and it needs to be paid cash and on site the day of the tour*** A dress code is required: shoulders covered, shorts or skirts below the knees. All the churches have security checks at the entrances (metal detectors). I can customize this tour according to your interests.
