Hello! I'm Barbara and I come from a family of skilled woodcraft restorers, with a deep respect for history and craftsmanship, which has shaped my passion for guiding people through the timeless beauty of Rome. As a licensed tour guide, I have the unique opportunity to connect different cultures and eras, bridging the gap between the people who once lived in these ancient spaces and those who have traveled from across the world to experience them today. For me, each tour is more than just a recounting of history—it's about giving voice to the places we visit, bringing them back to life in a meaningful way. This is truly an honor, as I act as a living bridge between the past and the present, allowing you to experience Rome not only through its sights but through its stories and emotions. I specialize in creating personalized, off-the-beaten-path experiences for those who wish to travel differently—exploring hidden gems and lesser-known corners of the city. My tours are designed for those who want to feel like true insiders, seeing Rome from a unique perspective, away from the typical tourist crowds. Of course, we’ll also savor Rome’s stunning beauty and rich history, but rest assured, good food will always be around the corner—because what’s a tour of Rome without tasting its delicious culinary delights? Whether you’re interested in a deep dive into Roman history, exploring secret spots, or enjoying a leisurely walk through its most iconic areas, I will be attentive to your needs and expectations. I am committed to providing a tour experience that’s not only informative but also engaging and enjoyable. I am also passionate about making tours accessible to everyone. I am certified in special needs tourism, catering to both physical and sensory limitations, and I love being a family-friendly guide. Every tour is customizable to fit your interests, and I take great pride in creating tailored itineraries that make your time in Rome unforgettable. Credentials: - Licensed Tour Guide of Rome - Degree in Economy of Tourism - Post-graduate course in History of the Church (Pontificia University Gregoriana) - Special Needs Certifications (Physical & Sensory limitations) Please note: I am not a driver, but I can assist with arranging a car and driver if needed. Additionally, I am unable to offer tours inside the Vatican Museums.

Exploring a city on foot is the best way to immerse yourself in its colors, flavors, and atmosphere. Rome is my city, and I believe every corner has a story to tell. I’m excited to share this passion with you. You’ll visit the iconic landmarks, such as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and the Quirinal Hill, where you’ll be captivated by Rome’s grand Baroque architecture—its opulence that define the city. The Pantheon, the best-preserved ancient temple, is a must-see. Its massive dome is a feat of engineering still standing after nearly 2,000 years. But we’ll also explore beyond the well-known highlights, uncovering some of Rome’s hidden gems. One of these is St. Ignazio’s Church, with its breathtaking painted ceiling. Dedicated to the founder of the Jesuit order, this church holds rich history. Throughout our walk, we’ll stop to savor some of the finest coffee and gelato in the city, ensuring that your journey through Rome is as delicious as it is unforgettable.
Our walking itinerary will cover approximately 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles), so be sure to wear comfortable shoes for an enjoyable experience! - Trinità dei Monti - Piazza Barberini - Quirinale - Trevi Fountain - Saint Ignatius' Church - Pantheon - Saint Louis of the French (Caravaggio's paintings) - Piazza Sant'Eustachio - Piazza Navona (Fountain of the Four Rivers) Important: Dress code - all churches in Rome have strict dress code requirements: dresses/shorts must be knee length and shoulders covered , so bringing zip on attire or scarfs is acceptable. Weather - I run tours rain or shine, and most of my itineraries take place entirely or partially outside. Water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended in summer, as are warm layers in winter. Comfortable shoes are always advised.
