Ciao! Let me introduce myself: I am Silvia P. a licensed tourist guide of Rome and Vatican City. I am class '74 I am married and I have a 10 years old son. How does it get better than that? Well it does with my job! My husband is french and we lived in London for a while but he once said to me that me without Rome. . . not working. . it is like I need my air!!! Guiding has been my full time job for the past 26 years. . . . and I just love it. I am passionate about what I do and my goal is for my clients to be able to fall in love with Rome the way I do. After all the experience in the field and the knowledge I have cultivated I feel confident to say that I am the most reliable person to help you plan your stay in Rome. I like to call myself a Concierge guide: giving you advices and guidance not only about the tours and the best time to visit the main sites in terms of crowds and weather, but also helping you with tips only a local can give. . . where is the best Gelato? or the best Pizza? Whether you want to dive in history and art or catch the more glamorous side of Rome, if your holiday is about having fun with your kids. . . I am your guide! I can arrange all sorts of tours, if there is something you are curious about, or you have heard of but it is not listed. . . send me an email and I will help you make it happen. All my tours are with skipping the lines tickets and timing can change for the tours depending on the season and the day I will advice you in what is best for you. In high season in order to confirm the tour I need to check tickets availability first. My number one priority is to give you a memorable experience of Rome and help you make the most of your time here. Tourist guide License 2000 Majored in Anthropology in 2004 I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Part of understanding a foreign country consist in tasting its specific flavours. Us Italians we take food very seriously so a food tour in Italy is not to be missed. In Rome a food tour is a unique experience not only of taste but also visual and acoustic. . the voices of the venders at the fresh market, the windows arranged like boutiques it is an overall senses experience. Not only I am local but I love my food so who best than me with expertise and palate can help you navigate the culinary Roman world. During the tour not only we will taste the delicacies of the Eternal city but also you will learn about the anecdotes and history behind the dishes and some of the typical local habits. Plus I have lived also outside Italy (UK, France, Spain, Africa) and I can relate to different eating habits and make comparison with what you are normally used to.

Excellent knowledge of history and made the tour fun for kids. We really enjoyed the locals restaurants that she recommended.
Very knowledgeable about Tome and its history. Very personal able and friendly. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a tour in Rome!!
Another excellent tour with Sylvia. We sampled coffee, pastries, gelato, a cheese, salami and ham tasting with wine to accompany. Following her directions for after the tour had finished, we also tried some amazing biscotti and have a pizza restaurant to try tomorrow. Along the way we took in the Pantheon, the market at Campo d' Fiori, piazza Navona with its buildings and fountain and some Caravaggios. We didn't feel overfull as her pacing of the tour was perfect. Highly recommend a food tour with Silvia.
