The Vatican Museums are a complex of several collections housing Statues, ancient and modern, made of marble and bronze, colossal and very small; Paintings, the most famous you've ever heard about, Tapestries, Frescoes, Objects, Decorations… Relax and let me put my knowledge, expertise, and flexibility at your service to make you enjoy the Vatican Museums like being on a time-machine. We will never be rushing. Room by room you will learn about the History of Rome and the lives of Emperors and Popes who made it great and Eternal. We will enter the Sistine Chapel; but before, since it's forbidden to talk inside, I will show you my panels and pictures to reveal to you the meaning of its decorations and secrets. Just with a Vatican guide like me, you have direct access from the Sistine Chapel to Saint Peter's Basilica. It's impressive and unbelievable at the same time. If you want, we can climb its dome as well. Contact me and I will make you live the most spectacular experience you've ever had in a Museum.
Our meeting point is the Entrance of the Vatican Museums or your hotel if located in the center of Rome. We will spend within the Museums a minimum of 3, 5hrs. The visit is at your own pace and I will design the itinerary according to your requests and walking ability. Our visit will be focused on: Roman Antiquities and Colossal marble Statues collected by the Popes including the Apollo of Belvedere and the Laocoon. The New Wing housing the famous statue of Ottaviano Augusto The Gallery of the Candelabras The Gallery of the Tapestries The Gallery of the Maps The Raphael's Rooms The Sistine Chapel housing the Last Judgment and Adam's Creation (short briefing about history and contents before accessing) Saint Peter's Basilica including the Pietà by Michelangelo - Possibility to climb the Dome Finally, we will emerge in Saint Peter's Square for pictures and commentaries. No problem if you are traveling with kids. I am a kid-friendly guide and ready to set an engaging tour for them and the entire family.
