Hello and thank you for reading about me, Roberta! I was born and raised in Rome, I have dedicated many years of my life to art history and archaeology. I have taken a Degree at the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology. I have worked as a tour leader for leading Italian and American tour operators in Rome. I love my Ancient City and wish to share it with you! My interests in the arts and history fields as a young child led me to start working as a professional tour guide, which I have been doing with great enthusiasm since 2009, when I obtained my licence. I also have a special licence for the Vatican City which allows me to cooperate with many groups and families. I speak fluently in English, French and Spanish, and have graduated in Political Science. I love travelling the world and all animals, in particular dogs and cats. Leaving Rome at early morning, we will drive past the Bay of Naples and stop to have an authentic Buffalo mazzarella place for a tasting that will melt in your mouth. We will then head towards the gates of Pompei for a tour of the ancient ruins, tickets and your guide are included. At Sorrento we'll stop for an unforgetable lunch at a small terraced farm called La Sorgente where you will enjoy a fantastic time. Afterwards we will stroll around the streets of Sorrento experience the freshly grown food, homemade wine, cheese, lemoncello and preserves and learn how to make fresh mozzarella and the processing of extra virgin olive oil. After a fato tour and of course shopping.
We loved our tour of Pompeii with Roberta. She's very knowledgeable and loved sharing that with us. Afterward we went for a wonderful lunch at a local Vesuvius winery which was beautiful. We finalized our tour with a drive around the Amalfi coast and stopped along scenic viewpoints for lovely photos. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly and professional guide. Wish we had also booked her for our tour of Capri!
This tour was fantastic. We loved Roberta and our driver Marco. Everything went beautifully. We enjoyed seeing Pompeii and really liked the stop for lunch at the local form in Sorrento. Walking around Sorrento was absolutely breath taking.
Roberta was absolutely amazing! She was very friendly and talkative and we enjoyed our entire day with her. She is very knowledgeable about the entire city of Rome and set up very unique excursions including this amazing lemon farm (which was my favorite part of the entire trip) Walking around Sorrento was very relaxing knowing we had her with us, she knew exactly which stores to pop into for free samples! Thank you Roberta for making our trip to Italy so great!
Fabulous tour of Pompeii. Nice walk through Sorrento. We decided not to go to Amalfi Coast due to rain. Note to any people who are considering this tour. We spent 7 hours in the car and did not go to the Amalfi Coast. The reason for only 4 out of 5 Stars is that the tour guide and the driver spent more than half the time in the car speaking to each other in Italian. We felt a little left out. But we would like to say that Roberta was very friendly and very personable.
