I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Overview of your Rome tour
Departing from Rome and heading North on the A1 towards the Southern part of Tuscany. This tour will take you into the heart of Tuscany--- Pienza, a real Renaissance pearl. It's a magnificent hilltop town where you will breath in the landscape and soak up the scenery. You will have the opportunity to feel the history of the area while talking to the local producers and sipping their wines. Next you will visit a local farm, where you will gain a real feeling of nostalgia for the ancient art of sheep's cheese production. Let your tastebuds run wild with the delicious flavors. The second part of the tour is spent exploring the town of Pienza itself. Walk through the streets, and visit the most important parts of town. Pienza is now known for its wine production and food culture. In particular, Pienza is famous for its pecorino cheese, that is matured in several different ways in order to enhance its flavor.
