I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Overview of your Rome tour
The Holy Father holds a General Audience most Wednesday mornings in Vatican City at 10:30 a. m. The audience is held in either St. Peter's Square or the Paul VI audience hall. Tickets are required to attend the Papal Audience. I will reserve the entrance tickets which are entirely free for your family in advance of your arrival. Our service includes meeting you at your location (hotel) and transferring you to the event as well as returning you after the event. I will assist you with the crowds that can be very overwhelming for families. As well I can assist in directing the handicapped or disabled people who need assistance with a special entrance away from the crowd. There is a process that I'm aware of to make this special event and enjoyable and memorable day in Rome. I look forward to assisting you with booking this special day in Rome. The audience is a chance to pray with the Holy Father and receive his blessing, which is imparted to all present and to their families and friends.

Caron was right on time to pick us up and get us in line for the papal audience. She was a "bull dog" (in the best way) to get us towards the front of the massive seating area and all the way to the right side on the end so I could be right up front to see the Pope drive by on his way up to the front. She explained how the papal audience presentation would go and it was very neat to be there and hear the Pope speak in person. She escorted us out after the final blessing and then we had breakfast nearby and she gave us some Florence restaurant recommendations. Super nice lady.

Highly recommend. Caron was wonderful. Kind, personable, informative, engaging, and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great morning at the Papal Audience. Caron picked us up promptly at our hotel and took us through the chaotic entrance to St Peter's Square. Once we got through security she knew exactly where to go and how to block the crowd so that we could get a front row view of Pope Francis. Throughout the morning Caron pointed out what was going on and different sites of the city and square. She also went above and beyond and set us up on a tour later in our trip in Venice. Your Rome tour itinerary
- Picking up from your location in Rome at an early hour. - Arriving at the Vatican area with tickets in hand, we will wait for the security gates to open, as everyone has to go through this process (which are the same metal detectors as in the airports). Then we will be allowed to choose our seating. I will assist you in getting through the large crowds and also stay with you during the Audience to answer questions, point out the main areas that are particular to the square and the event. I am also there to assist you with taking family pictures during the event and assisting you to find the bathrooms on site. Most of the areas are within wooden baracades during the event and it's difficult to get in and out. -After the event, I am there to safely transfer your family out of the crowded area and take you over to visit the shops for Papal Mass items such as blessed items. - I will then transfer your family either back to the hotel. -You should bring in bottle water, coffee or breakfast items to snack on.
