Ciao everyone! My name is Natalia and I am 100% Roman, born and grew up in this wonderful and vibrant city, in a neighborhood close to the Vatican area where I live with my family. Since I completed the high school I decided to concentrate my studies to the art and archaeology. After my degree in Art History I specialized on Italian Renaissance Art and spent some years of working as museum educator in ancient Roman sites and museums like the Borghese Gallery. In 2008 I began working as tour coordinator for big companies, and in 2010 I passed the examination and got the tourist guide license issued by the Roman Tourism Board/Council. I like arranging and doing personalized tours for groups and schools from Italy and different countries, but mainly for individual clients tailoring every part according to their needs. Often my guests are families or the not-so-youthful travelers, and I really like sharing with them my favorite corners, where to find secret treasures or also family-run restaurants or the best gelato places. Overview of your Rome tour
Just half an hour from the Eternal City by train, or perfect in the morning if boarding a cruise ship or a plane in the afternoon, the ruins of the archaeological park of Ostia Antica compete with Pompei for their size and incredible state of preservation - but without the crowds! We will walk down the Decumanus Maximus, the main street of this vast and green area in the Roman countryside, and will see ancient houses, taverns, baths and apartments with traces of everyday life and decorated with wonderful mosaics, frescoes and statues. We will discover what it was really like to live in an ancient Roman town with a population of some 50, 000 people over two millennia ago, and will learn why the harbour city of Ostia, close to the mouth of the Tiber river, was a vital part in the massive machinery of the Roman empire. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests. Duration: 4, 5 hours 3 hours: Ancient Ostia Tour 1, 5 hour: with a driver from your roman accommodation, or with public direct train with me. Particularly suitable for kids.
