One Splendid Week Touring Italy!

Exceptionally funny, brilliant, powerful, easy to work with, well known, and fashionable is how I would describe Caron. You will not be disappointed in any way, shape, or form booking your tour with her. We scheduled a week-long tour of Italy with Caron, and our experience was beyond exceptional and we will definitely be booking future trips with her. Every step of our tour was meticulously planned, every ask we made was met and most importantly Caron was an extremely fun and easy-going tour guide. Her connections throughout Italy were phenomenal and expansive and she was lovingly greeted every place we went. Booking with Caron was easy and she was open to all of our crazy ideas of what we wanted to pack into our week and made it all happen. She was so easy to work with and if we wanted to modify the plan on the fly, she was flexible. Her knowledge of all things Italy was amazing as well and she could provide us with the high-level cliff notes or an in-depth history lesson if we asked. Caron also photographically documented our entire trip and made sure we had family photos at all the major locations and lots of canids. We were traveling with our 18, 20, and 21 year-old children and Caron instantly connect with us all and made our experience one we will never forget. Every part of our week long trip was taken care of from airport transfers, train tickets, tickets to local attractions, dinner reservations, meeting us in the morning at the train station with croissants, cappuccinos, and expressos before we boarded a train, helping us get our tax refunds on our purchases at the airport, the list goes on and on. This trip was a true VIP experience every step of the way. Our trip was everything and so much more then we could have imagined and we left knowing that we had made a true connection with Caron and she is someone we now consider to be a friend. Do not hesitate to book with Caron, you will not regret the extraordinary experience she will provide.

I am a very detail oriented, attention to detail person. Prior to our retirement trip to Europe in May 2024, we researched private tour guides in Rome for several months. We finally decided on Ms. Caron M with Tours by Locals. We could not have made a better selection in our wildest dreams. Once we returned from our Mediterranean cruise and from the time we made initial contact with Caron in our Rome hotel that first day, it was an experience of a lifetime.

Caron and her team planned, created and executed a flawless plan for our family of 5 in Italy for a week. We stayed in Rome and Florence, but explored so many places in the area. Lifelong experiences while having constant smiles and laughs with the extremely knowledgeable Caron. We asked if we could add an event-no problem her team made it happen seamlessly. Will never be able to say enough good and thank her enough. Definitely book her again in Italy or anywhere in Europe.

Caron arranged several days for our group of 10. Caron is not only a great tour guide, she has a great team of people and is also able to arrange airport pickups, transfers, inside tours, meals, train tickets, etc... She has an immense knowledge of Italy and has contacts all over the country. We really enjoyed her tours! She felt like a new friend and welcomed us back. We will certainly use her again. And thank you Caron for arranging a last minute transfer for us when out train was canceled!

I wish this system would give us the option to rate Caron and her team with 10 Stars! Caron is amazing in every way, flexible, and accommodating. She bent over backwards to help us several times during our week with her. She has an entire staff helping make sure all tours and experiences are smooth and everyone is happy. Hiring Caron was the best decision me made for our time in Italy, both for the easy of traveling with her and also the pleasure we had just getting to spend time with her!!

From the first email, my experience with Caron has been fabulous! We arrived in Rome on a Saturday morning and spent Saturday & Sunday touring the sites before we began a Med. cruise. She coordinated the logistics perfectly--from apartment check-in, to airport pickup, cruise ship drop off, and pickup again at the end of our cruise to take us to the airport. We saw all of the major sites on Sat & Sun. Caron became a friend who I feel certain I will see again. Her husband, Mauro, is terrific, too!
