Rome’s Surroundings: Easy Private Day Trip with Transportation
Overview of your Rome tour
The Orsini-Odescalchi Castle is a gem of Italy, located within a natural park about 35 km from Rome. We will visit its twenty decorated rooms, still furnished as they were in the castle’s original heyday, as well as the courtyard with its historic kitchens. It is an interesting journey through six centuries of history, Renaissance paintings, and a weapon collection considered one of the most prestigious in Italy. We will then go outside to the ramparts, patrol paths, and gardens, offering an amazing view of the lake. Today the castle is also a famous location for weddings, conferences, and TV and film productions. A pleasant walk through the characteristic “borgo” completes the visit, followed by a stop for lunch in a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will visit two other picturesque villages overlooking the lake in a relaxed atmosphere, and in summer, there may even be a quick stop for a swim. I will also show you the place where I live and share stories that few people know.
