Discover with me the history of one of the oldest district of the city and submerge in the culture of the Jewish community of Rome. I will guide you through the small alleys and we will also discuss about more modern Historical events around the Roman Jewish Community.
from via Campo dè Fiori we will stroll along the small alleys of the old Jewish ghetto: - Campo dè Fiori: were the Talmud was burnt few years before teh Ghetto was established - Largo Argentina: discover the connection in between the Romans and the Jews in the past - Piazza delle tartarughe: the ghetto was built right next to noble palaces of Roman families, plenty of stories and legends - Via del portico di Ottavia: what is left of the ghetto - La sinagoga: the great Synagogue of Rome in between history and architecture ( exterior) No specific dress code is required, if at the end of the tour you would like to enter the Great Synagogue bring along an ID or passport otherwise you will not be allowed to enter.
