I'm a Licensed Roman Guide with a background in Architecture, but, first of all, I'm a traveller like you! I'm able to put myself in your shoes and suggest the best photo spots, since I'm a Travel Photographer as well! With me, you'd be able to discover highlights and hidden gems of Rome; I offer both tours in the city centre and outside of the city walls. My visits are more architecture-oriented, but I like to give a comprehensive overview, from historical insights to food tips. I love admiring narrow lanes while I'm having a gelato! I was born and raised in the Eternal City and, after experiencing life in the UK and in Germany, I'm back to my roots again. After getting a Master's Degree in Architecture, I've realized that the everyday life of an Architect didn't fit neither my expectations nor the artistic and exciting topics I studied at my University. Therefore, step by step, I've moved to the travel field, where I truly belong. In 2014 I inaugurated my Sustainable-Travel and Photography website where I share my reportages with a taste for the unusual, from Rome to the Polar Regions (Arctic and Antarctica)! I love going beyond the surface and capturing the soul of places. This project gave me such good vibes, that I understood that it was time for a change. A couple of years later, I've gained my Tour Guide's license and now I'm here to help you create wonderful memories. Rome in a nutshell | Half day with a licensed Roman guide
Overview of your Rome tour
This tour in the centre of Rome is suitable both for first time visitors as well as for those who are already familiar with the Eternal City. This is a great way to have an overview of this city in a short amount of time: from ancient Rome to the Baroque, from art to architecture, from Roman street food to everyday life spots. As an architect, I'd love explaining the Pantheon to you, which is the best preserved ancient Roman monument in the world. It should be noted that entrance to The Pantheon costs 7euros/adult +1,5 euros reservation fee. You can either fix the balance in cash or send me a refund on my Paypal. Please, consider also that the Pantheon is a church, it follows that it will be closed for service for a couple of hours during weekends and we should modify our itinerary to include it. To visit churches we should cover both our knees and shoulders. Thanks!

Valeria was a 12/10! She is filled with so much knowledge and so passionate that it makes the tour so much more enjoyable! She was so attentive to our needs and continued to check in to see if we needed anything like water or wanted pictures of us taken! We covered a lot of ground but she was great at time management to get us to see everything we wanted to. Amazing. Carlo made everything in the Vatican so extraordinary. He engaged us and made us all interested and appreciative of our religion. He showed us the treasures of the Vatican and made us appreciate the history of all the arts and cultures. We were so nominated with him. He went far and above our expectations. My kids thought they were going to be bored before the tour but they left wanting more. They did not want the tour to end. Thank you Carlo for the amazing tour.
