Hello, my name is Fabio (or Fabius if you like!) and I'm a tourist guide in Rome. I was born and grown up in this wonderful city and I started this job in 2010 because I like culture and the possibility to stay in contact with people coming from every part of the world. I am a licensed tour guide but also an archaeologist: in fact I have a master in Archaeological Sciences and I continue to collaborate with the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome by publishing the new researches we are doing. I have a large experience with private and small group tours, including families with kids and schools. I like to explain every kind of monument or attraction, including museums, churches, parks and panoramas, but I am also a great fan of our typical food tradition and I can deepen this interesting aspect of italian lifestyle! I am a licensed guide in Rome with a degree and an Master in Archeological Sciences. I collaborate with the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome by publishing the new researches we are doing. I have no limitations of any kind and I can access any place of cultural interest and guide you in any of the languages I am proficient in. Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel or port pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

The jewish community in Rome is the oldest in the western world: it dates back to the 2nd century B. C. Between 1555 and 1870 jewish people were forced to live in quarter known as the Ghetto, as it happen in many other europen cities. Shortly after the walls that surrounded the old ghetto was dismantled and the jewish people were granted citizenship. The district, including the Great Synagogue, still has many memories of the past ages and today is a landmark for the Jewish people, with its typical shops and kosher restaurants. Later we will cross the Fabricius Bridg, the oldest bridge in Rome, and we will reach the Tiber island and Trastevere, a medieval district developed on the right bank of the river as area for merchants, sailors and foreigners. Its narrow nice streets maintain their old character and let you breath the real local atmosphere. As a true Roman I recommend this tour to discover my city in its beating heart! I will tell you its secrets and stories and you will fall in love with it!
Highlights: Piazza Mattei Via della Reginella Octavia's Portico Synagogue (outside) Ponte Rotto ("Broken Bridge") Fabricius Bridge Tiber Island Cestius bridge Piazza in Piscinula St. Mary in Trastevere The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests. If you want to visit the Synagogue from the inside I can add 1 hour to the tour. Generally in all the Roman historical monuments and churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items(e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas). -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Walking Tour -I suggest bringing a bottle of water and to wear comfortable shoes. -During the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. -During the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella.
