Ciao & Welcome to Italy Tours with Mauro! I have been involved in the Tour Industry for over 13 years now and look forward to sharing my Beautiful country, it's food, it's traditions and of course it's values on life with all of you. Before entering into the Tour Industry I had spent 15 years in the area of Italian culinary adventures. I have first hand knowledge to share with each of you regarding the different regions, their food, wines, cheeses and tasty treats on the side like olive oil, balsamic and the art of truffles! Not to mention the best Gelato in each hilltop town inside and out of Rome. I'm originally from the Eastern side of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, a region called Puglia. So I am no stranger to the best beaches, sea food and nature that Italy has to offer as well. I am young, energetic, fun spirited, honest and most of all always on time. I look forward to having an adventure with you and yours soon! 5 years as a Tour Director of Italian Tours for an American Tour Company based in Rome. 15 years in the Italian Food and Wine industry. I am not a certified Vatican Museum or Colosseum Guide.

This journey will start from your hotel in Rome via train. We will get on a private wooden water taxi upon arrival and be driven through the Grand Canal and over to the island of Murano for a glass presentation of the historical pieces. Afterwards, we will be taken to Piazza San Marco where I will guide you through the very heart of Venice, as your knowledgeable guide I will point out the city's landmarks, including the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the Campanile and the many arcade buildings around the square. St. Mark's Basilica - Venice's basilica is a testament to Byzantium's influence on Venice. Included features are gold mosaic arches rising above the carved, Romanesque portal and the rooftop is bedecked with five domes, reminiscent of St. Sophia in today's Istanbul. The basilica's interior features marble floors and walls that blend in exquisite, carpet-like patterns. Gilded mosaic murals, like icons, adorn the walls. Then ride the train back to Rome together. Come enjoy Venice and the sights!
- This tour includes the famous Doge's Palace - Residence of the Doge and Venice's seat of government the Palace was the example of the Republic's maritime and commercial power. The ornate façade features an arcaded loggia, and your interior tour takes in the famous Golden Staircase, the Great Council Chamber, other historic rooms, and paintings by Tintoretto and Veronese. - Bridge of Sighs - Cross the 17th-century covered stone bridge that is one of Venice's most photographed landmarks. The bridge links the Doge's Palace with the old prison dungeons. It also includes many hidden gems along the way and some incredible views!
