Gorgeous 6 hours walking tour aimed to accommodate those who seek an alternative experience in the city, away from the crowds of the usual well trodden must-see places. Tucked in Trastevere a magnificent renaissance villa of a rich banker hides some precious artworks by Raphael and his followers. Crossing Sixtus IV Bridge on the river Tiber I will show you an authentic district in Rome, we will look at the serene elegance of Piazza Farnese and head towards one of the still buzzing market in the city center, Campo de' fiori. The last hour before our lunch break will be dedicated to the magnificent Doria Pamphili painting Gallery, a stunning, still privately owned collection in a gorgeous XVII century Palazzo. After our lunch break we will head towards Capitoline Hill: once the most sacred hill in Ancient Rome and today's city hall. Michelangelo's plan and the historical painted halls of the Capitoline Museums will bloom through its comprehensive classical roman art collection.
