I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Starting our day departing from the Eternal city of Rome we will head North until we reach Michelangelo's square, the hill from where you can gaze out from this amazing city overview while noticing a replica of the David. We will work our way down into the city for a grand walking tour where you will see such historical places as Ponte Vecchio "The Old Bridge", Signoria Square where the Master Pieces have lived for centuries and the site of your lunch break. We will people watch while enjoying a fabulous typical Italian culinary surprises. After lunch we can spend time shopping in the famous old leather market's near the wild boar, the Church of Orsanmichele, Piazza Repubblica, the Duomo of Santa Maria in Fiore and the door of Paradise. Our last stop will be the Accademia where you can enjoy the original statue of David. As the Tuscan sun sets, we will make our way back to Rome, but not before experience the famous gelato. Come explore the beautiful city of Florence with me!

Caron completely and last minute changed plans for today after being with us in Rome. She based it on US, not a tour book. Phone calls got us into special places, private tours before hours, exclusive offerings because of her connections. We went off the beaten track to wineries, restaurants and shopping. Her recommendations were always spot on because she took the time to know us, shared her enthusiasm. As we got on our cruise ship we were so sorry to leave her! She sets a very high bar!
Caron is Awesome, Awesome. She planned everything perfect end to end. She is very good with kids and our daughter is 6 yrs old and she took care of her completely engaging her all the time so that she doesn't get bored. Caron picked us directly from our hotel and took us in the car to Florence and showed beautiful small towns on the way explaining the history and background. we all enjoyed the Florence trip with Caron and she created beautiful memories for our family that we never forget in our lives.
What a great day in Florence! Caron treated our family as hers. Attentive to our well-being from pick up to our return. Her knowledge of the history of Florence and her ability to make us feel like VIP's was shown from restaurant reservations to the best shops.....especially Italian leather! Bottom line, we had a great day thanks to Caron.
Our trip to Florence and Tenuta Torciano winery was absolutely splendid. Caron took care of everything. Our trans. was first class, Mauro safely got us everywhere we needed to go. Caron was able to get us to the front of the line everywhere we went, without her we would have wasted our day standing in lines. Caron's knowledge of the region, the important sites, hidden gems and relationships she has with locals will make you feel like a VIP. I can't imagine using anyone other than Caron while in Italy.
I do not even know where to begin! We have had the most magical, amazing, spectacular, special day that we can remember! Caron is the most genuine, knowledgeable, and most wonderful person! We have a friend for life! The surprises kept coming and one was better than the next which never seemed possible because the first one was that special! Our drive was so beautiful and scenic. Caron put so much effort into every little detail. I highly recommend her she is simply the BEST!!!!! Grazie!❤️
- This tour is a complete day tour to visit the beautiful city of Florence. Departing from Rome early morning we will then drive through the Umbrian hills that so many Romans have traveled on. Once arriving in Florence we will visit the highlights that this ancient city has to offer and all of it's glory before tasting the local gelato, getting in some shopping for fine leather goods and driving back towards Rome before the sunset's over the Tuscan sun.
