Hi everyone! My name is Ferdinando, and I have a mission. . to turn your tour in an interactive experience! Your essential contribution, sensibility, wishes, inclinations, tastes and background become mine and I lavish them on my next tour. It becomes a moment of cultural exchange and a personal benefit not only as a tour guide but mainly as a person. Meeting people for me is like traveling with my imagination and so my philosophy is that experiencing Rome is never a one-way conversation, but a chance for a reciprocal growth. I can proudly say I have had a lot of customers but I also have many friends. This awareness however is the result of a long journey starting with a Degree in Preservation of the Cultural Heritage in Sicily and a Master Degree in Classical Archaeology (i. e. greek and roman). So I'm an archaeologist and an official guide of Rome and its province since 2009 but mainly I'm a traveler. This is why my tours are 100% clients oriented, never forget that it is your tour not mine! I can handle any kind of experience like the regular tours with adults, or family tours, where I can say I'm an expert! My two daughters help me every day! And in general I'm at your disposal for any kind of customization according to the time available and your interests. I can provide an overview of the city covering the main attractions as well as discovering the hidden treasures and visiting the off the beaten tracks sites for those who already had a taste of the city. Contact me also for driving, electric bike, running and segway tours, for a different way to explore the eternal city. What makes my tour an unique experience though are two goals to achieve on a tour. . The first is to make my love and passion for what this marvelous city offers contagious, and second, as a consequence of the previous, to leave this city with a feeling of respect of the past and the wish for every possible visitor after you to enjoy the same beauty! Being not merely a guide though but digging since the age of 18, what I offer is not a simple tour, but a way to breath history. I'll do my best to let the monuments come alive as I had the privilege to take part to the excavation of an area very close to the Colosseum. The experience turned afterwards into my MD focused on Nero and the Flavians, the dynasty of emperors who built the Colosseum. So the valley of the Amphitheater is like my second home as it was the introduction of my dissertation. Well. . I did my best to convince you. . I hope it worked:-)) See you in Rome! ciao! Bachelor Degree in Preservation of the Cultural Heritage at the University of Palermo Master Degree in Classical Archaeology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" Official License as a tour guide of Rome and Vatican City Please note, occasionally tours can be delivered by other colleagues of mine, all licensed tour guides with years of experience, fluent in several foreign languages and.. mandatory requirement, having an university background like me in Archaeology or history of art.

Ready to ride for more than 19 miles on an eBike enjoying amazing landscapes and ruins of the roman countryside? You won't be bothered by uphills as you can choose how sensitive the contribution of the battery must be for you not to feel the weariness. This tour is infact tailored on any possible rider doesn't matter your fitness level as the ebike will constantly assist you on any surface and condition. Let's taste the benefit of an ebike on the Appian Way, an incredible masterpiece of engineering, connecting Rome with the south-eastern part of the empire and built in 312 BC by Appius Claudius Caecus, a politician. With a length of 360 roman miles, most of them still with the original basalt blocks paving, the Appian way is the longest ancient roman road still preserved and location of important historical events like the crucifixion of Spartacus' 6000 soldiers along the road, the capture of Rome by the Allies during WWII and in 1960 summer Olympics, part of the men's marathon course.
- Short ride from the meeting point to the beginning part of the Appian Way - Aqueduct of Claudius - Circus Maximus - Bath of Caracalla - Arch of Druso - Porta San Sebastiano - Church of "Domine quo vadis" - Villa di "capo di bove" - necropolis - Park of the Aqueducts (a gem!! a doozy for my riders! off the beaten path on all the traditional bike tours) I can customize the tour, please inquire for a quote.
