Ciao everyone! My name is Natalia and I am 100% Roman, born and grew up in this wonderful and vibrant city, in a neighborhood close to the Vatican area where I live with my family. Since I completed the high school I decided to concentrate my studies to the art and archaeology. After my degree in Art History I specialized on Italian Renaissance Art and spent some years of working as museum educator in ancient Roman sites and museums like the Borghese Gallery. In 2008 I began working as tour coordinator for big companies, and in 2010 I passed the examination and got the tourist guide license issued by the Roman Tourism Board/Council. I like arranging and doing personalized tours for groups and schools from Italy and different countries, but mainly for individual clients tailoring every part according to their needs. Often my guests are families or the not-so-youthful travelers, and I really like sharing with them my favorite corners, where to find secret treasures or also family-run restaurants or the best gelato places. I am passionate about so many things... it is impossible to list them all…. food, books, activities with my 7 years old son, travels and art for sure! Have an idea for a customized tour in Rome or in its surroundings? Don't hesitate to get in touch with me and we'll explore the possibilities together. I am looking forward to welcoming you here in Rome and in the Vatican City! Official licensed guide of Rome. Off the beaten track of the city centre we will discover the Catacombs of St. Callixtus, among the greatest of Rome. They originated in the half of the 2nd century and are part of a cemeterial complex which occupies an area of 90 acres, with a network of galleries about 12 miles long. 16 popes, 10 martyrs and thousands of Christians were buried in there. Along the Appian Way we will see the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, one of the best preserved of the many tombs that line the road, and then I will lead you to the tiny Domine Quo Vadis Church, rebuilt in the 17th century in the spot where St. Peter, escaping from Nero's persecution, had a vision of Christ. A visit to St. John Lateran Church, the cathedral of Rome that has played an important role throughout history, can not be missed in this tour. We will also have the opportunity to reach a green area with the remains of the massive Acquedotto Claudio, one of the eleven majestic Roman Aqueducts. If you are a lover of the undergrounds, this is the tour for you!
