Ciao & Welcome to Italy Tours with Mauro! I have been involved in the Tour Industry for over 13 years now and look forward to sharing my Beautiful country, it's food, it's traditions and of course it's values on life with all of you. I have first hand knowledge to share with each of you regarding the different regions, their food, wines, cheeses and tasty treats on the side like olive oil, balsamic and the art of truffles! Not to mention the best Gelato in each hilltop town inside and out of Rome. I'm originally from the Eastern side of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, a region called Puglia. So I am no stranger to the best beaches, sea food and nature that Italy has to offer as well. I am young, energetic, fun spirited, honest and most of all always on time. Overview of your Rome tour

We will start this unforgettable day from your hotel location. Heading North through the Umbrian region and climbing closer to the Italian's Appennini mountains we will arrive in Assisi. We will start our day at the famous Basilica of Saint Francis 1253AD. Amazed by the Giotto's frescoes and the ancient Italian Gotic Church. After we will move along to where St. Francis tomb is located. It's here that you will have time for your spirituality. After we will walk the city for shopping and lunch in one of the famous eatery in Assisi where you can enjoy the local food and wine.

Mauro was outstanding, and Assisi is a must see. easy day trip from Rome and we will be returning to this magical and spiritual place. He also knew when to give my wife and I private time to absorb the spirituality of the place. Throughout the day Mauro kept us entertained with cultural and historical background on everything we saw on this journey and that greatly rounded out our experience. Mauro is also a very safe and careful driver which was an added plus after we had experienced Roman drivers for a few days!!! When we return to Rome we will use Mauro again, he has several different day trips from Rome and we can't wait to try them out.

Mauro was very knowledgeable about Assisi and took time to explain and discuss the various sites we viewed. He was well versed in the history of the sites and also the region. He was extremely personable and did not rush at all during the tour.

Excellent tour, Mauro couldn't have been more accommodating. Modified tour itinerary to include some optional sites which we also wanted to see. It was as though Mauro was actually a member of our family group except for the fact that he had a wealth of information to impart. Your Rome tour itinerary

- After we will walk the city for shopping and lunch in one of the famous eatery in Assisi where you can enjoy the local food and wine. - After lunch we can move up to the Eremo to see the Cluster and the hill where St. Francis was in touch with God. The Eremo is a small hermitage in a steep forest gorge at the Monte Subasio. At a stone bridge the oak still exists, in the branches of which birds were living, whom S. Francis had preached to, as the legend tells. - After the spiritual experience we will drive back to your location enjoying the Umbrian sunset.
