I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Starting from your hotel in the center of Rome we will journey Eastward bound towards the Apennine Mountains & the region of Abruzzo. We will visit the Estate perched high above the city of Tivoli and a UNESCO World Heritage site called Villa d'Este'. It is a fine example of Renaissance architecture and the Italian Renaissance garden period of the 15th Century. Exploring both the remarkable works of Pirro Ligorio, who was responsible for the iconographic programs worked out in the Villa's frescos and the technical designs for the fountains by a Frenchman, Claude Venard, who was a manufacturer of hydraulic organs that we will hear playing during our visit. After experiencing the Villa and it's beautiful gardens, you will enjoy a true Roman Lunch before returning to the Center of Rome.

Caron was amazing! Highly, highly recommend. Communication before during and after our trip was extraordinary. My wife and I enjoyed a magical tour of Tivoli and Villa d'Este with Caron. From the moment she picked us up from our hotel, her passion for Italy and its rich history and culture was evident, promising a day of discovery and enjoyment. She expertly shared the villa's history, guided us through stunning gardens, and arranged a memorable lunch by an ancient temple. It was these thoughtful touches from Caron that enriched our day, making each moment special and unique. Highly recommend.
Caron was amazing with our family of four. She really cares about what we want to do and customizes each trip. We used her on 5 different days. She arranged for two different cooking classes - pizza /gelato, and pasta/tiramisu. The kids loved it! She took the time to explain the Colosseum and Bomarzo gardens and made the kids feel involved and interested. She also took our photos and sent them to us. She knew the best places to eat - incl. Orvieto. We will always use Caron!
Caron is incredible!! We had a group of 8 just off a Med. cruise. The original plan was Tivoli but after talking with us Caron suggested we change to a tour of Orvieto with lunch. It was fabulous! Orvieto MUST be on your short list. The Duomo there is just beautiful church. Lunch, outside on the town square, and Caron knew the restaurant owner and family and made us part of the family. Food...amazing! Setting...unreal! Go there, and you MUST go with Caron!
Excellent "pivot" to Orvieto with the limited mobility of one of our group. We really enjoyed the drive, beautiful town, shopping and the incredible lunch. Wonderful day highlighted also by getting us very close to the fountains and some wonderful gelato. Caron took very good care of the entire team with wonderful pictures and memories.
