We will visit 2 museums: MAXXI museum, and the National gallery of modern art. The Galleria Nazionale or National Gallery of Modern Art, founded in 1883 and dedicated to modern and contemporary art. It houses the largest collection of works by 19th- and 20th-century Italian and international artists including Giuseppe Ferrari, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Giorgio de Chirico, Giovanni Fattori, Amedeo Modigliani, Giorgio Morandi, Giacomo Manzù, Alberto Burri, Antonio Canova, Felice Casorati, Vincent Van Gogh and Lucio Fontana. Today with the new display of the gallery unexpected relationships shun the orthodox laws of chronology and history of art. MAXXI, National Museum of the 21st Century Arts, is a stunning museum of contemporary art and architecture in the Flaminio quartiere of Rome. It was designed as a multidisciplinary space by the architect ZAHA HADID. No tours on mondays.
