From being young I have always had a passion for Art and the way some special people expressed themselves through it: music, archaeology, history, architecture, poetry and literature have always been my favourite subjects. All of this gives me today a deeper comprehension of the works in museums and a great joy at sharing it with people. After eighteen years as a licensed guide, showing museums, art collections and churches in Rome, I still enjoy sharing what I have learnt and I do not mind customizing tours according to clients requests. This work gives me the opportunity to meet many people from different backgrounds: I have lectured for National Geographic and Smithsonian, I tought Renaissance and Baroque Art for an american university in Rome, I lead tours for Roman groups and for tourists and I am not yet tired! All of this makes me strongly believe to have chosen the best work possible in the most beautiful city in the world: Rome! Overview of your Rome tour

All over the world the Colosseum is the best know building in Rome. On this tour you will be able to experience an extensive and in-depth talk on the past history, focusing on Ancient Rome starting with the most famous form of entertaining, the gladiatorial fights in the Colosseum, up to the business and political life in the center of the old city: the Roman Forum. Main character in movies and stories, the Flavian Amphitheatre, better known as "The Colosseum", started its history in the summer of 80 A. D. and it is not finished, yet! Emperors, gladiators, popes, religious parades, churches, all this developed amongst and around its walls. Archaeological investigations in the last decades are enriching the historians' opinions about the use of this building and allow new ideas on what the Roman Forum and the district around it looked like, often including the Imperial palaces on the Palatine Hill. A lot to see and a lot to say and and I'm here for you and to let you discover everything about my beloved Rome!

I and my family were so grateful to meet Rosanna and to have her expert art history knowledge during this tour which she conveyed in a very clear and conversational style. She has an easy, engaged manner, was very personable and connected beautifully with all 6 family members, adults and children of varying ages. Rosanna gave us a terrific tour! She's very knowledgeable, very personable, and quite adaptable. I had a bit of a mobility problem during our tour, and she adjusted very well, while still making sure we saw the sites and understood the historical and other information. We asked lots of questions, and I don't think we found a single question, historical or modern, to which she didn't know the answer. I would highly recommend Rosanna as a tour guide, and this particular tour for those interested in the Colosseum and archeological park.

Rosanna was fabulous! Pre-tour communication was informative and timely, providing us with her mobile number and a photograph of our meeting place. During the tour we were impressed by her knowledge of Roman history, the Colosseum, etc., and her regard for our well-being in the stifling heat of Rome. She made sure we had opportunities to refill our water bottles and found shade (and a breeze) whenever possible. Highly recommended.
