Welcome to ancient Rome! Slip for a few hours into the skin of a Roman of antiquity and experience how it was to live in ancient Rome. Together we will visit the once-vibrant center of Rome with the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, and the Imperial Fora. We will start our visit with the Forma Urbis, the vestiges of the beautiful marble map of Rome, from there we walk to the Colosseum, originally called the Amphitheater Flavio, the first of its kind built entirely of stone. What was the purpose of the Colosseum? Who were the revered gladiators and how did they live? Questions to which you will get answers during this guided tour. The Palatine Hill, since the time of Augustus the residence of the emperors, as evidenced by the numerous finds we will come across. The Roman Forum was the political, religious, economic, and legal center of the capital of the Roman Empire. Romans met there to keep up with what was happening in the Roman Empire. The visit finishes with the Imperial Fora.
