Hello and thank you for reading about me, Roberta! I was born and raised in Rome, I have dedicated many years of my life to art history and archaeology. I have taken a Degree at the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology. I have worked as a tour leader for leading Italian and American tour operators in Rome. I love my Ancient City and wish to share it with you! My interests in the arts and history fields as a young child led me to start working as a professional tour guide, which I have been doing with great enthusiasm since 2009, when I obtained my licence. I also have a special licence for the Vatican City which allows me to cooperate with many groups and families. I speak fluently in English, French and Spanish, and have graduated in Political Science. I love travelling the world and all animals, in particular dogs and cats. I look forward to meeting you and showing you the BEST time in my Eternal City! Licensed Guide for all of the historical monuments in Italy. Vatican City Licensed Guide for 8 years. I am not permitted to guide in another language - only English

For those of you who "think" you've seen all of Rome and then some. . . wait. . . there's more! On this tour you will experience the off the beaten track areas of interest. The places where few folks go and calm walks and primo photo shots are experienced. We will go, see and do the following places and more: The Chiesa de Santa Prassede: On a quiet side street near the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, this small, easy-to-miss church is a gem. From the outside, it looks nothing special, but venture in and you'll be bowled over by some of Rome's most dazzling Byzantine mosaics. The 9th-century apse designs are beautiful but for a full-on, jaw-dropping spectacle, check out the Cappella di San Zenone. The Quartiere Coppedè- Taking a stroll in the Quartiere Coppedè, Northeast of Villa Borghese. This pocket-sized district, designed in the 1920s by a little-known Florentine architect, Gino Coppedè, is a fairytale mishmash of turreted villas, towers, gargoyles, arches, and graceful palm trees. Villa Gulia too!
-The Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia is one of Rome's great unsung museums. Housed in an elegant Renaissance villa, its superb collection of Etruscan treasures provides a fascinating introduction to the mysterious people who ruled central Italy before the Romans. Must-sees include a 6th-century BC tomb, the Sarcofago degli Sposi (Sarchophagus of the Betrothed), and the terracotta Apollo di Veio. - Overlooked by an ancient pyramid, the Cimitero Acattolico (Non-Catholic Cemetery; cemeteryrome. it) is a verdant oasis of peace in the bustling Testaccio district. An air of Grand Tour romance hangs over the site where up to 4000 people lie buried, including the English poets John Keats and Percy Shelley, and Italian political thinker Antonio Gramsci. Outside the cemetery walls, Testaccio is a top spot for a taste of nose-to-tail cuisine. Many of Rome's trademark offal dishes originated in the area, and there are any number of trattorias still serving them, including longtime favourite Da Felice
