Hi there! I'm Barbara, born and raised in Rome, just a few feet from the Vatican City, I love to travel the world and explore different cultures! Overview of your Rome tour
The Castelli Romani are located in the Alban Hills about an hour southeast of Rome, little towns, each one with its own flavor, but all known for their art, architecture, awe-inspiring views and, of course, delicious food and wine! Summer hideaway of the Popes for centuries, the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo was opened to the visitors by Pope Francis and is now much beloved by Pope Leo XIV, is a must-see with its magnificent rooms and spectacular views. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant with an amazing lake view (or/and a wine tasting in a historic cellar) we'll head to Ariccia to see the impressive Palazzo Chigi. Renovated by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, once home to the powerful Chigi family or (if the weather is fine) we will stroll around the magnificent gardens of the Villa Barberini in Castel Gandolofo

- Pick up at your accommodation in Rome City center (within Aurelian walls) - lake Albano - Castel Gandolfo Papal Palace - lunch in a great local Restaurant with an outstanding lake view in Castel Gandolfo and/or wine tasting in a historic cellar - Ariccia Palazzo Chigi or Villa Barberini Gardens Borgo Laudato Si (according to the weather) - Drop off in your Hotel in Rome City center (within Aurelian walls) * If you wish I can organize a delicious wine tasting in a beautiful historic cellar, before or instead of lunch **This tour, as a whole or partially, can be customized to fit your preferences - please inquire! ***if you have mobility issues please let me know in advance so I can better plan our tour!
