From being young I have always had a passion for Art and the way some special people expressed themselves through it: music, archaeology, history, architecture, poetry and literature have always been my favourite subjects. All of this gives me today a deeper comprehension of the works in museums and a great joy at sharing it with people. After eighteen years as a licensed guide, showing museums, art collections and churches in Rome, I still enjoy sharing what I have learnt and I do not mind customizing tours according to clients requests. This work gives me the opportunity to meet many people from different backgrounds: I have lectured for National Geographic and Smithsonian, I tought Renaissance and Baroque Art for an american university in Rome, I lead tours for Roman groups and for tourists and I am not yet tired! All of this makes me strongly believe to have chosen the best work possible in the most beautiful city in the world: Rome! Art History graduate from Università La Sapienza di Roma Licensed tour guide of Rome If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. Caravaggio is one of my favourite artists, related to the beginning of the 16 hundreds and Iwish you do not mind discovering his style and skill strolling with me in the district where he lived and worked. We will appreciate his art in the churches that host his masterpieces: in Santa Maria del Popolo 2 paintings, Saint Paul's Conversion and the Crucifixion of Saint Peter. In Sant'Agostino 1 altarpiece, The Madonna of Pilgrims. In San Luigi dei Francesi where we end the tour, up to three paintings dedicated to Saint Mathew's life - which are the very first altarpieces ever painted by Caravaggio. In my opinion this tour is special because you can see paintings still in the original churches and altars for which they were commissioned, with a deeper comprehension of how much revolutionary Caravaggio's style has been. His way to observe and represent nature and reality has taught a lesson to a wide part of his contemporaries: a turning point in the history of art.

Walking Tour -I suggest bringing a bottle of water and to wear comfortable shoes -During the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses -During the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella In all the Roman historical monuments and churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below the knees. Churches may not be open to visitors due to masses or church services; the guide is not responsible, in which case the guide will explain from the outside.
