Overview of your Rome tour
In this 4 hour walking tour you will experience some of the most famous elements of Italian culture: history, art, architecture, archaeology and. . . delicious local food! Starting from the capital's most remarkable monument - the Colosseum - the tour will be lead by me as a professional archaeologist to discover the story of the greatest entertainment building of the Empire and learn about ancient Roman architecture and social life. After, a gastronomic expert will bring you to explore some of the city's historical and family-run food shops: a stroll off to discover a typical district of Rome with several stops at the secret places only the locals know about to taste specialties, learn about the traditional recipes of the Roman cuisine and listen to the stories of local lore with an emphasis on street food culture. A mix of history and food to know the real Roman culture. A memorable experience! NOTE: The Colosseum tickets are nominative. Your proof of identity must be kept on hand at the entrance.

- Colosseum (first and second rings) 2 hour walking tour The tour will be held inside and outside the Colosseum, then we will walk to meet your foodie guide. - Food tour 2 hour walking tour Guests will taste homemade pizza, Italian cheeses, hams, salamis and mortadella, supplì (fried risotto balls), delicious Italian pastry or artisanal gelato. - One small bottle of water per person included. Additional drinks can be purchased onsite with an extra price. IMPORTANT NOTES: - This tour as a whole or partially, can be customized to fit your preferences - please inquire!
