My name is Sabino, I am 57 years old and I was lucky enough to have been born and raised in the Historical Center of the Eternal City founded by Romulus in the eighth century BC. I still remember with great nostalgia the old days when I spent hours with my friends playing in the Colosseum Valley. II have 2 beautiful daughters: with whom I share the passion for Art and for our city's history. This passion was handed down to me by my father, who since the first post-war period, offered tourist services to the first European and Overseas visitors. At the end of my high school studies I enrolled in the faculty of law which I completed successfully .The following year, thanks to my father's suggestions, I obtained an authorization from the municipal administration of Rome for the operation of touristic car services within the historic center of Rome with luxury vehicles. During my university studies in Roman law, my passion for the History of Ancient Rome and Roman civilization was rekindled in me. After finishing University I attended courses in ancient History, Art History and Archaeology. I became a Licensed Tour Guide in Italy, Rome and The Vatican. The passion for my city had taken over my qualification in Law. I am still in love and passionate about my city and I love sharing this privilege with visitors from all over the world. Despite over 30 years of profession, my city still excites me today and I maintain the same enthusiasm and passion in transmitting, everything I've learned, and still love to share these experiences of mine to tourists from all over the world and of all ages. Overview of your Rome tour

All roads lead to Rome! But how many times you have heard that without truly knowing why? Well, on this tour of around 5 hours I will definitely be unveiling this for you, as well as many other secrets. We are going to spend a day relaxing away from the chaos of heavy traffic, surrounded in between the history and greenery of Rome. We'll be travelling along part of the ancient Appian way, which was built in the IV century BC. This road extends up to 400 miles long, and crosses one of the ancient access gates to the city along the Aurelian city walls, originally built in the third century AD. As we go, I'll address the Roman's construction techniques for their roads with the use of lava stone. Throghout our day together, we'll see ancient churches full of secrets and history, as well as museums, tombs, circus, ancient baths and ancient Roman villas flanked by fortresses. I'm very flexible, so I could always customize this tour as you please. What are you waiting for?. . . Let's go, andiamo!!

It was a great pleasure to spend the day exploring the Appian Way with Sabino. He is a spirited, interesting man who delights in getting to know his clients, and is also very knowledgeable about the places we visited. The Appian way is very interesting, the Catacombs for example included a tomb of the early popes. He was very willing to adapt the tour to include the Circus and Villa of Maxentius nearby and the Villa Quintili Archaeological Park as well. As he got to know me, he did things to surprise and delight me; he took us back to Rome via the Tomb of Eurysaces because he knew I had wanted to see it, and he stopped so I could get a photo. This may not be the first tour you might select if you have never been to Rome before, but it is certainly worth you time on a second visit. And I believe Sabino would be an excellent guide for any of the tours he offers.

Sabino is an experienced and knowledgeable guide, full of energy and stories. We spent the entire day with him and he made an effort to engage each of us (married couple with two young adult sons) at our level and area of interest. We all learned a ton and had a ball. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful day this past Tuesday Nov 26th, 2024 with Sabino. He was a fantastic guide who showed us so much of Rome and its outlying areas, many off the beaten path of the main tourist spots. His knowledge of the area and its history was shared with us in an interesting and informative way. He is a very personable guide who made us feel comfortable and at ease ! A truly wonderful experience !

Sabino was an excellent guide. He was able to accommodate our long list of sites and the abbreviated timeline exceptionally well. His knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, the area was amazing and we really enjoyed our tour. He was also quite personal and entertaining make this your even more enjoyable.
