It was a great pleasure to spend the day exploring the Appian Way with Sabino. He is a spirited, interesting man who delights in getting to know his clients, and is also very knowledgeable about the places we visited. The Appian way is very interesting, the Catacombs for example included a tomb of the early popes. He was very willing to adapt the tour to include the Circus and Villa of Maxentius nearby and the Villa Quintili Archaeological Park as well. As he got to know me, he did things to surprise and delight me; he took us back to Rome via the Tomb of Eurysaces because he knew I had wanted to see it, and he stopped so I could get a photo. This may not be the first tour you might select if you have never been to Rome before, but it is certainly worth you time on a second visit. And I believe Sabino would be an excellent guide for any of the tours he offers.
