Overview of your Rome tour
I have created this tour for you to offer you a perfect introduction to the most famous Imperial Rome's attractions: the world's wonder Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the political and commercial heart of the Ancient Rome! Walking through the centuries in the same footsteps of the Caesars led by a native historian and experienced tourist guide, the tour will be focused on the majestic COLOSSEUM (Flavian Amphitheater), greatest tourist attraction of Rome, during the centuries interpreted as the allegory of the Imperial Rome and today listed among the Seven Wonders of the world and UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Afterwards we will take a pleasant stroll to the valley of the ROMAN FORUM, pulsing heart of the Roman Empire, where, walking along the "Sacred Way" used for triumphal processions, we will explore temples, basilicas, commemorative arches built by the largest power in the western world!

This was a spectacular tour. It may seem a bit expensive or long, but, with our guide Dino, it was worth every penny and every minute! Dino notified me before we even left on our trip that the scheduled day of our trip was a national holiday with free entrance and expected large crowds, but that he had a solution using a little known entrance to the forum. We had no wait, and crowds were not a problem. Dino's knowledge and enthusiasm about the history, architecture, and art of Rome was phenomenal. He spoke perfect English, and used a tablet to illustrate how things looked through the ages to now. He also knew the best place to take photos including group shots for " family Christmas cards" ! We also booked Dino's VIP Rome tour by night which was a great finish to our vacation!

COLOSSEUM (inside: ground floor, first level) ARCH OF CONSTANTINE ROMAN FORUM IMPORTANT: Colosseum tickets are timed and nominative Each ticket will contain the name of each visitor so please kindly let me know the name/surname of each participant and bring with you an ID/PASSPORT to prove your identity (all the participants, also teens and kids) Without a valid ID/PASSPORT, you will NOT admitted inside. SAFETY ALERT The Colosseum can accommodate up to 3. 000 people at once. This could lead to delays in access to the site, even for pre-booked visitors. For security reasons at the Colosseum entrance and AGAIN at the Forum entrance all the visitors have to be screened with metal detectors. Big Backpacks, glass bottles, swiss knives etc. aren't allowed. The guide is NOT responsible for this issue. RECOMMENDED STARTING TIME: From May to September I recommend you as starting time 4 pm to minimize the crowds at the Colosseum and to beat the heat. This tour can be customized.
