I still remember the first time I saw ancient statues, I was in the Vatican Museum and I was a child. Those marble giants were not just silent witness of their time but it seemed like I could hear their voices talking to me from the past. Was it that a decisive moment in my life? Probably it was! I graduated in Art History at Rome University and while waiting to find a "real" job I started to work as a guide and, little by little, it became my job! I've been a tourist guide since then which means …. a bit! Together with the Colosseum and Palatine visit, right in the heart of ancient Rome, we will discover the San Clemente's Basilica. This very ancient church preserves mosaics and Middle Age furniture among the most beautiful in Rome. Even more amazing are his dungeon! The church was built - twice - on top of some Roman buildings and the archeological digs, will allow us to penetrate underground and discover what is left of the old houses, to understand the complex variety of the town of Rome. Consequently we will have deeper understanding of the Colosseum archeological treasures, of its impressive beauty and structural modernity. The place loved above all others by the ancient, where they would encourage gladiators. Roman Forum beauty, whit its columns, triumphal arches, still standing buildings will lead us one step after the other in the Romans daily life and up to the Palatine hill, house of the Romans Emperors. This was the 2nd tour we booked with Patrizia in Rome. Once again she selected an excellent, easy to find location to meet to begin our tour. Her knowledge of Ancient Rome is extensive and helped us understand how it used to be and our day was enhanced with her guidance. Patrizia was Fantastic! We met her and from the first moment she was friendly and welcoming. Our Colosseum and Forum experience exceeded our expectations She was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic I had been here before but she added so much Both my BF and I agreed this was worth the money and truly the only way to experience the ruins. Without a guide (and particularly with Patrizia) you will miss so much. We highly recommend Patrizia. She's the best!

The availability of Arena tickets is limited, I will try to buy them in advance we need a lot of luck. -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. -Please bring a copy of your passport (paper copy or photo on your phone), the tickets are nominal and a copy of your documents must be show.
