I still remember the first time I saw ancient statues, I was in the Vatican Museum and I was a child. Those marble giants were not just silent witness of their time but it seemed like I could hear their voices talking to me from the past. Was it that a decisive moment in my life? Probably it was! I graduated in Art History at Rome University and while waiting to find a "real" job I started to work as a guide and, little by little, it became my job! I've been a tourist guide since then which means …. a bit! I enjoy what I do and statues haven't stop whispering their stories to me, that, together with studies and experience, enables me to explain to you things about Rome and its history in a way you could not imagine. If we'll meet in Roma I'm ready to show you my Roma and share my knowledge with you! From the Vatican, to the Colosseum, passing through the Borghese Gallery, Caravaggio, Trastevere, Jewish Ghetto and amazing Italian food and wine, I am at your service and I love answering my guests questions and I can customize my tours for your needs. You're in good hands with me, and I look forward to meeting you! Are you ready to follow me? Ciao a tutti! Hi everybody! I live and work in Roma as a tourist guide: - Art History graduated (Tor Vergata University) - Licensed tour guide of Roma -I can prepare for you customized tours (full day or half day) with luxury private car and driver If my calendar appears unavailable, please contact me anyway. Ostia was founded as a fortified post close to the mouth of the Tiber river at the beginning of the 4th century B. C. After the defeat of the Etruscan town of Veio It immediately became a river port, acquiring a commercial function to supply Rome with food stuff. The urban aspect soon changed and Ostia became a city of 150 acres where more than 50, 000 people lived. We'll enjoy the breathtaking views and aided by maps drawings and writings we'll explore the area: Roman theatre, Baths, public fountains, public latrine, barrack of Fire brigade, temples of different religions, the Forum (the centre of political life), square of the Corporations, the shops (butcher, bakery and mill, wine bar, fishmonger, laundry) the dwelling (House of Amor and Psyche, House of the Charioteer) More than 100 years of excavations rediscovered mosaics, frescoes, and amazing architecture. We will see a little and fabolus ancient Rome!
