Ostia has a special place in my heart because when I was little my parents always took me to the beach here and now that I'm married and have a child, I do the same with them and so I know the area like the back of my hand! On this tour I will show you one of the largest archaeological sites in Italy and the best fish restaurants near Rome. By choosing this tour you can see the differences between the Roman and modern times and how they have shaped the city of Rome as it is today.
Your Rome tour itinerary
- Just 30 minutes drive from Rome, we will arrive to Ostia. - I will take you to the entrance of the ruins (Closed on Monday) where I will help you buy tickets and you will have the possibility to hire an Audio-guide (if available) (not incl. in the tour rate). - After the visit which usually takes 2 hours I will I will drive you to the beach where you can enjoy a fantastic seafood lunch (not incld. ) in a typical restaurant on the water. - After lunch will drive you to Civitavecchia port.
