Hello! My name is Marina, I was born, raised and live in Rome. I'm a licensed tourist guide since 1995. I got a degree in Art History and Archaeology of the Mediterranean Area. I studied at the Third University of Rome, the Art Faculty is located in the ancient roman Diocletian Baths, from the window I could focus on the ancient ruins… I like Roman and Greek art and also Baroque art. I took some examinations about the Modern art and mostly about 17th century so I deeply studied Bernini, Borromini and my favorite Caravaggio. During my course I fell in love with Archeology and I took part in excavations in Italy, in etruscan necropolis and sanctuaries and in Carnuntum (Austria), where a Roman Legion was in defense of the Danube border. I'm addicted to marble definitely! I got the opportunity to lead a jewish group from the States with a teacher from Tel Aviv and for one week we shared so many infos about the Jewish Community in Rome, it was a great experience for me. Another amazing experience was to tour a man, all alone, completely blind since the birth. We spent 3 full days together visiting all the city or saying better touching marble and hearing the water sound of the fountains and walking over the bumpy roads of cabblestones... it was a wonderful tale! Since 1990 I keep on with my studies on Rome and surroundings working with Cultural Associations of the Eternal City. I visited many underground roman sites. I want to share my knowledge, and very fond of Rome and its beauty because: to know Rome it's not enough a lifetime! I am communicative, passionate (of course I love gesturing, I’m Italian!) About my hobbies: I love Music, I am a Drummer and playing in three bands as a Singer too! I love travelling with my family of musicians, going to rock and metal festivals all over! I love leading families with children, I had three kids. I am ready to share with you my knowledge and passion, making sure you'll have the greatest experiences in my beloved city! Including the discovery of the unique Italian Food! Looking forward to meet you in Rome for a tailored tour! If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone

We'll enter the Vatican, with special "skip the line" tickets, the smallest country in the world surrounded by a massive wall that Tom Cruise tried to jump in one of his "Mission Impossible" movies! In a stratification of papal palaces, I'll lead you on an overwhelming tour discovering one of the most famous and largest museums in the world embellished by statues, tapestries, paintings, gorgeous bathtubs, and ancient marble gathered by the popes along the centuries till reaching Sistine Chapel that Michelangelo painted for many years! Some years ago about the Vatican a Lady told me: 'I haven't enough eyes to watch everything!' And she was right! Then we'll have a soft walk in St. Peter Church, visiting the tombs of the popes, and have a look at the tomb of St. Peter and the extraordinary dome started by Michelangelo and completed by his pupil Giacomo della Porta.
We'll see : - Momo's Staircase - Armor Courtyard (the perfect place to take photos over St. Peter's dome) - Pinecone Courtyard - Chiaramonti Gallery - Pio Clementino Museum - Octagonal Courtyard - Rooms of Animals - Room of Muses - Rotonda Room - Greek Cross Room - Candlesticks' Gallery - Tapestries' Gallery - Maps' Gallery - Sistine Chapel - St Peter Basilica The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel are closed on SUNDAYS and Catholic Holidays. The tour can be arranged for your needs, visiting the museums allows you to take pics except in the Sistine Chapel. IMPORTANT: -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. -Please bring a copy of your passport (hard copy or photo on your phone) tickets are nominal and you must show a copy of your documents. -The Vatican DRESS CODE is strict and requires shoulders and knees covered: low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts, and hats for men are not allowed .
