Some 135 spires and 3.200 statues are crammed onto the roof and into the facade. 2) the La Scala Operahouse, the most important opera house in the world. You will get the chance to immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of this marvellous theatre and fall in love with the neoclassical interior. We had a lovely afternoon with Michaela touring the Duomo. We chose to go to the top of the Duomo - where there are views up close of the intricate spires and gargoyles, plus big views of the city. Michaela is very knowledgeable on the history of Milan and the Duomo. We also went into the cathedral revisiting the beautiful stained glass windows. The also toured La Scala….it's interesting to see the theater but we aren't huge opera fans so we weren't her greatest audience. We highly recommend Michaela
