The Santa Maria del Fiore is a one of the most remarkable religious complex of Europe, housing architectural and engineering masterpieces. During our visit, we will see why a small town like Florence has one of the biggest churches of the world, famous for its Dome, made by Brunelleschi, buried down in the crypt, seat of the Roman and Romanesque remains of the former cathedral. After, we reach the Baptistry, in front of the Duomo, known for its unique Gates of Paradise by Ghiberti. Then, we enter the new Museum of the Opa, housing one of the most important sculture collections signed by big names such as Arnolfo di Cambio, Michelangelo, Donatello. Here I will show the highlights and then you can stay inside as long as you like.
