Hello there! I'm Corinna, a Londoner who has been living in Florence for almost twenty years. I graduated at U. C. L. London University in English and Italian Language and Literature and then the Institute of Linguists London before moving to Italy and becoming an authorised Tour Guide of Florence and the Province in 2008 (Membership No: 006/2009). Being married to a local has given me the possibility to know the real city and its people by going off the beaten track to avoid mass tourism; in this way, clients can understand that art and history is also fun and enjoyable! I have worked as a licensed Tour Guide in Florence for several years now and offer a wide variety of classic and alternative tours, along with custom made tours, to meet specific client requirements. A visit to Florence should be an enriching cultural experience to be cherished! - Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Italian Language and Literature - University College London, Institute of Linguists Certificate in Italian, Professional Secretarial Course Newbury College, Sommelier Course - II Certificate, Fismar Verona, - Licensed Tour Guide Certificate, Istituto Dante Alighieri, Florence I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

As State Museums are closed on Mondays, my private three-hour exploration of the city is an interesting alternative to discover the most emblematic and fascinating sites of Florence. I'll begin with the first Medici palace in the city - Palazzo Medici Riccardi - continuing towards the religious centre, passing the Duomo, Bell Tower and the Baptistry where the likes of Dante and Machiavelli were baptised, before heading to the unique granary church of the historic guilds of Florence, Orsanmichele. Then we'll head towards the Dominican Basilica of Santa Maria Novella to appreciate the Florence Gothic styling. This must-see site of Florence safeguards Giotto's painted wooden crucifix, a fresco by Masaccio and a bevy of other treasures. We'll end the tour by going inside the world's oldest pharmacy, Farmacia di Santa Maria Novella, where their products are still made following age-old recipes created by the Dominican Friars.
My itinerary covers the must-see sites of historic Florence, including the first Medici palace of Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Baptistry and Duomo, the granary church of Orsanmichele, the Dominican Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, and the Farmacia di Santa Maria Novella. This tour can be customised to cover specific client requirements and during the tour we'll obviously have time for a coffee break and photographs!
