I have been a professional tour guide since the year 2000. I love my job and my beautiful island and I try to share this passion. I originally come from the blue Zone (Baunei), then I moved to the capital where I live. My goal is to make you discover the beauty, culture, traditions and peculiarities of Sardinia. I love travelling, but I think Sardinia is unique, a little continent in the Mediterranean Sea. I work with individuals, small and large groups of travellers in English and Italian. I offer a wide selection of customized tours, shore excursions, daily tours from the capital Cagliari and tours of Sardinia (small and large groups). Certified Tour Guide in Sardinia, licence n. 135 Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, Cagliari University , 1998 107/110 Driving Licence AG9259905 None.

Nuoro is the capital of the mountainous area of Sardinia known as the Barbagia. We will visit the Museo del Costume, a huge collection of typical Sardinian artifacts such as carpets, jewels, costumes. An amazing section is dedicated to the Sardinian Carnival and its grotesque masques. I will show you and explain all the traditions that make Sardinia so unique. We will also visit Orgosolo, an open-air museum with its murals painted all over the village. I'll translate for you the ones with Sardinian language text, so you can better understand the impressive history of Barbagia. We will meet local people and I will be so glad to be your personal interpreter. We will have lunch with shepherds, trying the local food such as the salami, pecorino cheese, and sheep meat. In winter time or with bad weather, lunch will be indoor. On the way back we stop to visit the archaeological site Santa Cristina, the most important example of sacred nuragic well, amid the beautiful wild olive trees and oaks.
• Two hours drive to Nuoro, passing along the Campidano area and the mountainous Barbagia. • In Nuoro, we visit the Museo del Costume with its amazing collection. As on Mondays the museum is closed, if you choose that day for the tour, we're visiting instead, on the way back to Cagliari, the Nuraghe Losa (impressive building dating back to the Bronze Age). • After 30 minutes drive, we get to Orgosolo to have an hour walking tour, stopping to see the murals and also also some time if you wish to buy souvenirs or local products. • 20 minutes drive to the beautiful and wild Montes, the plateau covered with oaks and shrubs. We are going to stay 2 hours to have lunch with shepherds, explore the area, talk with them, see how they roast in the traditional way. Wear comfortable clothes, as we're having lunch sitting on benches under the trees. Unforgettable! I • After 1 hour drive, we visit the sacred well of Santa Cristina. • Then we go back to town.
