I was born in a farming village in southern Sardinia. I am a tourist guide and archaeologist specialized in Prehistory of Sardinia. My father passed down to me the passion for archaeology and for my land. I decided to work as a guide because I enjoy working with people and I like to share my passion for Sardinia. I have been working as a guide since 2010 and I know the Sardinian island very well, not only from an archaeological but also cultural and naturalistic point of view. I avoid places that are too touristy and crowded. I like to learn about and understand other cultures, that's why I visited several countries in the world and I lived in England and Spain. I love working with small and/or private groups because it allows me to create more professional, yet personal and down-to-earth relationships with clients. The CAR I use for my excursions is 5 SEATS car is a NEW DACIA DUSTER 2026: is a spacious SUV equipped with every comfort. It's a full hybrid, environmentally friendly and in keeping with my always eco-sustainable tours. For more then 4 people I can arrange a minivan. I'm also registered as a official driver with a KB driving license to be able to accompany clients in complete safety. Each excursion is different and stands out from the others because those who travel with me are an active part and make their own contribution to each experience, with their own character and personality. Working with people who visit Sardinia is a continuous exchange of knowledge, experiences and life! What I like and don't like. I like: dogs, because they love you unconditionally; hiking, because hikers are used to saying hello even if they don't know each other; nuraghi, because inside them I feel at home ; Sardinian ravioli: culurgiones, because they are very good!In general I love nature, forests and uncrowded places! I do not like: the city traffic; to spend Sunday in front of the TV. I do not work with large groups, but only as a private guide or for very small groups, because I believe it is important to empathize with the travelers I meet. Certified Tour Guide in Sardinia, licence n. 1156 Degree in Archaeology, Cagliari University, 2004, 110/110 Phd in Archaeology, Cagliari University, 2008, 50/50 Driving Licence B and Professional driving Licence: Certificate of professional competence, called Licence CAP (KB) Registered as a driver N. You will have the opportunity to visit the most important archaeological site of Sardinia discovering its history and majestic architecture with me, a Sardinian Archaeologist! -Feel free to contact me if you would like to customize this tour! - I chosed doing this tour because my father told me about it since I was a child: in fact, like me, he studied archeology After visiting the archaeological site, you will meet Tonina and Carla, mother and daughter who run a farm that has handed down its love for the land for three generations. A relaxing walk through the farm, where you will find out the family history. Their organic farm grows olive trees, vegetables, fruit, wheat and almonds, it produces an excellent extra virgin olive oil and a bread, the result of the cultivation of ancient grains. You will enjoy a local products lunch with a panoramic sight on the Nuraghe and after lunch we will reach the Giara plateau for walk in the woods.
• Start from Cagliari and we reach the nuraghe of Barumini in a private car in about 50 minutes. The main characteristic of nuraghes is the magnificence of their dome-shaped halls. Barumini is the most visited archaeological site in Sardinia; the ancient castle, built 3500 years ago that draws gasps from its visitors: with towers of over 20 metres, you will not find anything like this in any other country. • After visiting the monumental stone castle we move into the organic farm, surrounded by nature. In the past the village the doors of the houses were always kept open, sometimes even at night. The open door was a symbol of a community that believed in mutual respect : Today this tradition is fully felt in their restaurant and farm, where you will be welcomed in familiar and authentic environment. •After the light lunch we will visit Palazzo Zapata or we will go for a walk on the Giara Plateau to see the wild horses! Feel free to contact me if you would like to customize this tour!
