The town of San Sperate is a typical Sardinian village located in the south of Sardinia. This village is not your typical tourist destination; it is an incredible place full of traditional houses, narrow streets, and colorful mural paintings that make it an ideal spot for a private, intimate tour. You are going to walk with me through the charming streets and show you the iconic Campidanese houses, which have been painted with beautiful mural paintings. This is an unforgettable experience, as you are going to learn how the sardinian people live (sometimes even after 100 years!)
The tour starts from Cagliari. Once arrived in San Sperate, you'll follow me among the houses and you will get to explore the inside of the Campidanese houses, talk with the habitants of the village and learn all about the mesmerizing mural paintings throughout the tour. The paintings are unique in all aspects and depict local culture and community. From religious motifs to scenes of everyday life, each mural painting tells a story and you will get an in-depth understanding of the local culture. During this three hours walk, you will have the fantastic opportunity to learn about the local culture and explore the Campidanese houses. You will get to understand the significance of the mural paintings and the history behind them. The tour will finish in Cagliari.
