I absolutely loved this tour! Claudia is so knowledgeable about the subject and her enthusiasm shines through. She goes all out and even brings props along to illustrate items found at the site and similar sites. The only problem is that it left me wanting to see more sites from the Nurajic civilization…like maybe a full day tour of several sites? Claudia?
This was a very interesting tour exploring the ancient ruin of a civilization that lived many years ago in Sardinia. Claudia gave a very interesting history of the civilization and the ruins. Claudia is very knowledgeable about history as well as archeology and again was delightful to spend the day with.
Claudia and Barbara have a very unique tour that gave us a view into Sardinia’s rich history going back to 1700 BC and earlier. We were taken to sites that were not crowded and allowed us to listen to the description at a comfortable pace. Claudia is very knowledgeable and answered questions about current day Sardinia as well. We highly recommend Claudia and this tour.
The tour will begin in Cagliari. From here, I will take you to the countryside close to the small town of Suelli, home to the Nuraghe Piscu. This ancient ruin is one of the most important and impressive Nuraghe left in the south-Sardinia, and, as you are going to see it's majestic. We'll begin the explanation from the central tower and there I will provide you with detailed information about the Nuragic civilization and its unique architecture. From the central tower you will follow me around the others 4 small towers and, after that, around the village's ruins, where you will learn about the last moments of the nuragic civilization. Once inside the house of the villages you will learn how the nuragic people used to live and eat. The tour will finish in Cagliari
