Hi! Are you looking for a great tour of Jerusalem from a Jewish lens? You've come to the right place! I can show you around the ancient, traditional Jewish neighborhoods of Jerusalem, where you can catch an enchanting glimpse into a seemingly by-gone era. You can meet people leading a completely media-free lifestyle, and walk along the alleys where they and generations of their ancestors have eaten, prayed, and loved. . . I can take you on a fascinating tour of Jerusalem's old city, peppered with stories of the righteous Jews who walked those paths. We can experience together the palpable majesty and mystery of the Western Wall, where two thousand years of tears and prayers were offered to One G-d. I can also take you down to the secret Western Wall tunnels, that actually hide the heart of the Wall, and share with you its tragic history. Another tour you might opt for is a tour of the Underground Prisoners' Museum, which offers a view into the fascinating history of the modern State of Israel. The fates of many who sacrificed their lives fighting for Israel are on display at this little-known jem of a museum, and I would be happy to guide you through it. Of course, we can customize any tour to your needs and interests. I will be happy to figure out together what will work best and deliver the most satisfaction to you based on your interests, your time, and your leisure. I can also definitely offer suggestions for further exploring Jerusalem and beyond, to make your holiday here special and worthwhile. I am looking forward to inviting you to experience the inside scoop on Jerusalem - the epicenter of the world! ABOUT ME I moved to Jerusalem from the United States in 2015, and have been studying, working, and building a family here since then. Having received a teaching degree from an Israeli college, my passion for sharing knowledge has translated into guiding tours to new visitors to this beautiful, holy, eternal city. I have no doubt that you, too, will be overtaken by Jerusalem's charm and majesty. The Torah says, "G-d's Eyes do not leave this Land from the inception of the year until its end. " Come and experience basking in the glory of this view! History teacher certified by the Israeli Ministry of Education. The tour of the Jewish neighborhoods can only be conducted if all the participants are attired in modest dress. (Long sleeves, high collar, and mid-calf skirt for women.) I have no restrictions in terms of my guiding.

Step into the beating heart of the oldest neighborhoods in Jerusalem! Mea Shearim and Geula are just two blocks away from Ben-Yehudah street, yet they are worlds apart from the modern-day Jerusalem, preserving an ultra-orthodox lifestyle. The prevalent Yiddish language, local dress code, and the pashkvils (street posters) impart the feeling of walking through an Eastern European Shtetl. Please note: the neighborhood is are open to all, yet big signs in English and Hebrew urge visitors to follow a modest dress code.
This is a suggested itinerary, but can be adapted according to your preference. I will make sure it is a fascinating trip to Jerusalem! - We will start by visiting the storied Mea Shearim Street, where you will catch a glimpse of the time-capsuled life of the Hasidic and Lithuanian Jews of today, and enjoy an explanation about the different sects of modern-day Jews and their traditions. - We will stop to peek into the Mea Shearim Shteiblach Synagogue, where a Jewish man is sure to find a prayer quorum at all hours of the day. - We will go inside a grand Jewish book shop and marvel at the multitude of tomes that are staples in every Jewish home. - We will stop to take in the awe-striking Mir Yeshiva, the biggest Jewish educational institution in the world, located right in the heart of Mea Shearim. - We will continue on to the Geulah area, where you can walk through the day-to-day shopping center of the religious community. Here you can wander the mysterious alleys and shop for souvenirs

This is a perfect walking tour, as no cars can enter some of the streets and courtyards, and everything is in very close proximity.
