Nazareth and Sea of Galilee-day trip from Jerusalem

On this tour, we will explore a significant part of Galilee, where Jesus Christ preached and spent his childhood. Our journey begins in Nazareth, where we will visit the family home and the nearby Synagogue Church. As described in Luke 4:16, "Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath." We will then pass through the village of Cana, renowned for the miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding feast, as recorded in John 2:1: "On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there." At the Sea of Galilee, we will visit key sites, including the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, and Capernaum, known as the city of Jesus. As recounted in Mark 1:21-22: "Then Jesus and His companions went to Capernaum, and as soon as the Sabbath began, Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach." After an enriching day of exploration, we will drive back home.

8:00 - 10:00: Pickup from Jerusalem and drive to Nazareth. 10:00 - 12:00: Visit the Church of the Annunciation and take a short tour of the city. 12:00 - 13:45: Drive to the Sea of Galilee and enjoy lunch at one of the finest restaurants, featuring the traditional St. Peter's Fish. 14:00 - 14:45: Visit the Church of the Mount of Beatitudes. “And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” - Matthew 5:1-7 15:00 - 16:00: Explore Capernaum. “Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.” - Matthew 4:13 Following this, we will visit Tabgha, the site where Jesus fed the 5,000. If time permits, we will also visit the Church of St. Peter's Primacy. 17:00 - 19:00: Begin the return journey to Jerusalem.
